Caffè Sambo — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

The worst restaurant/cafe in Forte del marmi!

While shopping in Forte Del Marmi we wanted to stop by this place to get a cold drink in the heat, but this is our experience:

The people working at Caffe Sambo are some of the most rude people I have ever met! The service here are horrible and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here! They insult you and if you move any of the chairs or tables AFTER asking them and getting permission to do so (because you are 6 people who wants to sit together) another worker will tell you that is it not okay (their communication is horrendous!)

Then they tell you that it is okay to move the chairs and tables IF you buy Food from their kitchen, BUT when you then try to order from the kitchen 2 minutes after, they tell you that it is closed???

Unfortunately we cant rate the food because they did not serve it to us..

Avoid this place unless you want horrible service and...

Durante un'allegra passeggiata familiare a Forte dei Marmi (una località in cui ai bambini cattivi la Befana porta i diamanti perché in fondo sono carbone sottoposto a incredibile pressione) c'imbattiamo in un'insegna che, negli Stati Uniti, sarebbe già stata tolta da tempo. Un simpatico ragazzo stereotipato di colore (immaginiamo proprio il mitico Sambo) sorride da sopra l'ingresso della caffetteria riportandoci a tempi in cui i treni arrivavano in orario. Decidiamo di entrare e prenderci una Fanta (rigorosamente in bottiglietta), due caffè macchiati e una ciambellina. Il locale è una caffetteria old-style con baristi mega-hipster bellissimi - barba ben curata e camicia a scacchi, tatuaggi a bracciale very yeah. I caffè sono assai buoni e in tazza grande, la ciambellina passabile (ma la selezione di tipi di caffè e biscotti di vari gusti ottima), i baristi gentili e chiedono se la Fanta la consumiamo on the way o vogliamo un bicchiere con ghiaccio e arancio. Quindi: buona esperienza. Usciamo tra cagnetti con cappottini e borse dal costo medio di 3.800 euro e andiamo a vederci la mostra dell'espressionista...

The staff are very indifferent/rude to guests, whether it’s waiting to be seated, ordering a drink or paying.
