Pinocchio a Pietrasanta — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

We recently dined at Pinocchio Restaurant in Pietrasanta and unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. The food was extremely basic, with small portions and no distinctive flavor or presentation – nothing that justified the reputation or prices of the place.

What truly ruined the evening was the manager’s attitude – arrogant, dismissive, and completely lacking the warmth you normally associate with Italian hospitality. Instead of feeling welcome, we felt like an inconvenience.

Overall, the atmosphere was cold, and the entire experience felt like a place surviving on passing tourists rather than on quality or service.

I wouldn’t return, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, welcoming, and enjoyable...

A primo impatto il locale sembra piccolo però sono presenti più stanze con un arredamento originale. Come prima portata abbiamo preso i paccheri al ragù di polpo e i tortelli al ragù di carne. I piatti sono carichi di sugo e questo è stato molto apprezzato. Veramente buoni. Unica pecca i paccheri erano un po’ troppo al dente e non avevano una cottura omogenea. Invece per secondo abbiamo scelto la tagliata di tonno, presentata insieme a un flan di patate delizioso, e la tagliata di manzo con delle patate arrosto. Per quanto riguarda il tonno era molto leggero e non aveva un sapore intenso di mare, la crosticina esterna contrastava benissimo con la morbidezza del tonno. Mentre per la carne partiamo dalla quantità: il piatto si presenta in ottime condizioni con un'ottima dose di carne già tagliata a fette né troppo sottili né troppo grandi che permette di mangiare ogni fetta in un boccone solo o tagliandola solamente a metà, la carne si presenta con una cottura media ma leggermente al sangue che permette di sentire tutti i sapori e di non metterci troppo per masticarla, persino la parte nervosa è morbida e buona in più il dosaggio di sale è soddisfacente il tutto viene accompagnato da delle patate al forno morbide ma coi bordi croccanti che permettono di godersi al meglio la portata. Vorrei dare un consiglio per il servizio, è più garbato e piacevole vedere il cameriere che mentre passa controlla se ci sono piatti da portare via piuttosto che affacciarsi spesso, può essere sgradevole rendersi conto di essere controllati frequentemente e induce a finire il più presto...

We initially found this from the alley and entered a cute small intimate space. We thought when we made the reservation that is where we would eat. But since it is the Summer they sat us outside on the corner. Very nice location in the middle of it all. Much larger than anticipated. The food was good, pretty plates and good flavors but nothing super special. I had the ravioli with burrata and zucchini while my husband had the curry couscous with seafood.
