Ristorante Pizzeria Eden — Restaurant in Unione dei comuni della Versilia

Food was okay, but the service was disappointing. This is the second day in a row I’ve witnessed rudeness from staff: yesterday directed at me, and today at other customers. At lunch, the restaurant had only three tables to serve, including mine. One table had ordered both appetisers and mains, and when asked if they wanted everything together, they said yes. The waiter first brought the appetisers, then just minutes later also brought the mains. Since the tables are quite small, there was no space for all the plates, and when the guests shrugged, the waiter snapped (in Italian), “And what am I supposed to do?” Later, when another table was waiting to order, after being reminded by his colleague, he loudly said, “Where did these two appear from?”, again in a rude tone, and loud enough for everyone to hear.

The snapping, rude comments, and assuming no one understood his remarks in Italian really spoiled the experience. The food might be fine, but the service is...

Service: The wine we wanted to drink, which the staff said was a great decision, wasn't available. The bottle that we then ordered was brought to us open, but we couldn't even test it first, so we had to pour the first glass ourselves. The waiter had problems speaking english and was not flexible at all with the dish selection, since many dishes weren't available. We had to pay inside at the register, so with all that in mind, why does one have to pay cover charge?

Food: The mozarella in the caprese salad was very jewy and the olive oil and aceto balsamico came in plastic bags, again why cover charge? The fish was okay but bland. The gnocchi were mushy and the shrimp sauce tasted frozen with a weird rotten fish aftertaste. Also the shrimps were cut open and there were scissors of other sea animals in the dish. 4,5 stelle meritate in occasione del ponte festivo del 25 aprile nonostante i tantissimi turisti: 📌 Punti forti professionalità e cortesia dello staff e soprattutto buon cibo al giusto prezzo.

✅️ Anticipo che la pizza 🍕 cotta in forno a legna 🔥 è veramente ottima: ottimo impasto, ottima lievitazione, ottima cottura e ottimi condimenti ben cotti e della giusta quantità, nè troppo nè poco (avrei osato un pizzichino di sale in più nell'impasto per essere al top).

Antipasto di pesce molto gustoso, porzione di pasta al ragù per i bambini 👶👶 di quantità e cottura ottimi.

Ottima la milanese per i bambini 👶👶 ben panata, croccante e morbida all'interno che dovrebbe essere scontato in un ristorante ma, ahimè, non è sempre così.

Buoni anche i dolci.

✅️ L'ambiente, mi riferisco al dehor esterno, sebben caldo pulito e ordinato, meriterebbe qualcosa in più.

✅️ Il personale (criticato in molte recensioni) si è dimostrato molto attento a noi clienti e alle esigenze di 2 bambini fornendoci un tavolo comodo provvisto di seggiolone. È stata subito presa la comanda venendo serviti prima i più piccoli. Di tanto in tanto ci veniva chiesto se andasse tutto bene, ci sono state sostituite le posate cadute a terra e hanno saputo soddisfare le nostre variazioni ai piatti senza alcun problema.

✅️ Al momento del saldo del conto, ho apprezzato molto il gesto del giovane cameriere che mi ha chiesto se avesse potuto dare un cioccolatino ciascuno ai bambini (per chi ha bambini sa che è molto importante domandare ai genitori nel caso di intolleranze e quant'altro).

✅️ Prezzi corretti e coerenti. (In altri ristoranti le pietanze hanno prezzi simili sul cibo ma rincarano sulle bevande, sui dolci e sul coperto).
