We stopped here for our last evening in Varazze. We booked in the afternoon for the dinner, and we were welcomed by this very friendly man and his beautiful little dog, a French bulldog. We sat outside, there are only a few tables both inside and outside; a few people tried to ask for a table but the were turned away, so if you want to come make sure to book. The owners is Luca and he was the most welcoming and friendly person I met on the holiday. He is very talkative, he can speak English and he will definitely make you laugh. For these reasons the service was great, even if we had to wait a bit for our main courses (keep in mind it was only him and his son serving that evening, so you have to be a bit patient). The food was quite good, fresh, very traditional and simple, proper homemade Italian food. I think the quality can be a tiny bit better and also the variety and type of dishes should vary a bit more, but sometimes keeping it simple is the way to go. A was a bit disappointed by the selection of beers, perhaps it could be expanded and tailored to the food from the menu, like a proper osteria (or pub). We had two antipasti, two mains, a couple of beers each, a dessert each and we spent 95€ in total, which I think is more than fair for the quantity and quality of the food. I definitely recommend the place, to enjoy Luca's amazing company during the meal, to taste some good food and to relax a bit in a cool little restaurant in the alleys of Varazze, after a day...
