Al Fontego Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Venice

We were here two years ago on our way from St Marco to city parkings and the food was so good back then that we decided to come back this year.

Unfortunately, it wasn't that great, but it wasn't a disaster either.

Pomodoro pasta was exquisite. Carbonara was fine, but a bit overcoocked. Ravioli was delicious, the portion was really small though. Lasagne unfortunately was a disappointment, there was very little sauce in it. Aperol spritz was good and quite cheap.

It was probably our waiter's first day at work and he was so stressed to talk to us that he was coming to our table multiple times just to ask about something he forgot. Eventually, we've got everything we asked for.

At first all the employees were very kind. The food is not good at all and there was a hair at the food of my son, he had it in his mouth. There was also a hair wrapped around the salt shaker and the glasses were dirty. When we said that there was a hair in the food the waiter said, that it is impossible. Even though they didn’t charge us for anything they said that it was impossible there was a hair and I was probably lying. We wanted to paz for the drinks and the soup, but they said it was a gift for us, but they disn’t accept that there was a hair in the food. We just wanted to cancel the food that hasn’t arrived yet, but we were told that there was no hair and we don’t have to pay for anything.
