We loved our stay at Hotel Al Sole! Before we arrived, I had emailed asking about best ways to find transport and they replied promptly with a detailed explanation of several ways to get there - if you have any questions I would recommend getting in touch! Every member of staff was very kind and welcoming - when we arrived late at night we were given information on how to get around Venice and sights to see which was lovely. You really get the impression that the staff enjoy helping their guests in any way possible. They also offered to book spaces in restaurants local to the hotel which was a nice touch but we didn't take them up on this offer as we preferred to explore. The room was spacious and clean - quite simple but has everything you need for a short stay. Comes with a hairdryer, robe and usual toiletries. We had a canal view room and the view was picture perfect. It was unseasonably warm at the beginning of November for us so the room did get quite hot but we found opening the window cooled us down more than the air conditioning. The bed was huge as well - I shared with a friend and we both had enough space to ourselves throughout the night. Housekeeping is good, every day when we returned our bed was made and we had fresh towels. The breakfast is good - not a million options but everything you need to start you off for the day. I loved the banana yoghurt and could only have it on the first day so would suggest getting more of that in haha. The hotel is located in an easy to find area just a short walk from the bus terminal that gets you in to Venice. My friend and I kept remarking on how perfect it was as we couldn't imagine being in the high tourist traffic areas as Venice gets VERY busy. Venice itself is a small city and walking around the streets is the best way to explore but the water bus terminal by the bus station is a very convenient way to get down the grand canal if you prefer not to walk. Overall a very very good hotel and so reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anyone looking to travel to Venice and will be staying again if I ever visit Venice in the future. Picture is the view from our room (It was quite foggy the day I took this picture but in the sun it's even more...

Hotel Solo at Venice is a beautiful and historic hotel located in the heart of Venice. The architecture and decor exude the charm and elegance of the city.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, especially Luca, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He even gave us a few Italian lessons whenever we saw him, adding a personal and delightful touch to our experience.
Our room, while a bit small like many in Venice, was very clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. For the best experience, be sure to ask for a channel view instead of a garden view. The channel view rooms offer stunning sights of Venice’s iconic waterways, enhancing the overall charm of your stay.
The breakfast was delightful, offering a variety of options, including the ability to make fresh grapefruit juice. It was a refreshing and healthy start to our mornings.
One of the highlights of Hotel Solo is its numerous cozy spots for relaxation. These charming areas are perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city.
Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located just a three-minute walk from Bancy Gravity, making it an excellent base for exploring the attractions of Venice.
Overall, Hotel Solo at Venice is a wonderful place to stay, combining historic beauty with modern comforts and exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the true...

It is also within a walking distance of major attractions such as Rialto bridge (20 minutes), the Accademia Bridge (15 minutes) and San Marco Square (25 minutes).|Breakfast is great, with nice variety of backed goods, chesses, vegetables, juices and coffee. Eating in the quite inner courtyard under vines full of wisteria and clematis flowers is a real treat. |The rooms was specious with a large bathroom and a working AC (so important and rare in Venice). The room has minibar with some drinks (extra cost), coffee set, toiletries and computer size safe. The bed are huge and comfortable and the view of the canal and the bridge makes you smile every morning.|The room could use a paint job to spruce it up and the windows could definitely use a clean up so the beautiful view can be truly admired.|I liked the old fashion feel, the brick posts, wood beams, tiled floors and the keys that are so big that need to be left with reception - just like in the old days.|Highly...
