The first star is for view, the second for the food. I should have known better than to jump into this, soon to be gastronomic nightmare. The first thing i Saw was a poorly lit menu card. The second thing, an employee standing completely still, looking at his phone. His face were like stone, staring mindless into his device. It was like nothing Else in The world had Any worth. He could have stood there for millenia. We were follow to a table and shown The menu. As my eyes slowly glanced upon The page, i noticed quickly a pattern. It was terrifyingly boring. The food was like a beach without sand, a ship without it’s crew. After we had ordered, we sat still for a moment. An employee started to Walk closer, with bread in his hands. An opportunity for redemtion! But there were no redemtion to come. As soon as my teeth touched The blant surface of The bread, i could feel the bread crumble into nothing but dissapointment. The taste was horrible! But the true test had yet to come: The food. At this point i still had a tiny spark of hope soon to be put out. The food was blant and boring, and i could feel my will to live slowly dissapearing. Suddenly i could feel something entering my nose, filling my with utter disgust. It was The employee from before, filling The air with anti corona gas. I could not seem to breath in this cloud of gas. At last i could leave. I have lost a lot that moralecrushing day. But my sanity...
Read moreWe were very disappointed to see how much this place panders to Americans. From the aggressive lighting, to Lady Gaga playing as the ambience music, to the wine list containing almost exclusively wine sold in North America, the experience was MILES away from what we would have expected to find in Italy. The prices were also hiked up to take advantage of the tourists. And on top of all this, we were seated right next to the washrooms when the rest of the restaurant had only 2-3 other tables. The odors of the bathroom would be present during our meal everytime the door opens.
Overall, I felt like I was being ripped off at every turn. Terrible experience. Would not recommend .
The only reason they get 2 stars and not 1 is because the pizza is actually decent. My recommendation would be to take the pizza to go and...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Italy for our anniversary and traveled all around the country. Our last city we visited was Venice and we were lucky enough to stay right next to this restaurant. The food was amazing. The clams and mussels as an appetizer was one of the best things we tried in all of Italy. We came back multiple nights just for this. The pasta dishes were also great. They all had flavor which is something I feel was lacking in a lot of other restaurants we visited. To top it off, the service we received from Nardi & Arpon was another level. They explained things to us and were very welcoming. It’s a restaurant I...
