This trattoria is a hidden gem, tucked away on a narrow street — and I’m so glad we followed the recommendation and came here. The place is cozy and full of character, with an authentic bar counter and a wonderful view of a quiet canal away from the crowds.
The staff are exceptionally warm, attentive, and professional — their hospitality and charisma make the whole experience unforgettable, and tipping here truly feels like a heartfelt thank-you. The food and local wine were outstanding. I tried the Venetian specialty Bigoli di Bassano alla salsa di acciughe, while my husband had Gnocchi di patate fatti in casa con carciofi e mazzancolle — both dishes were excellent and gave us a deeper appreciation of Venetian cuisine.

Family owned for 3 generations, the food, service, menu and ambiance are well worth the trip. A little tricky to find: from Redentorre Vaporetto stop, head west (make a right off of the ramp), cross the bridge (Ponte Lungo - the one with the elevator), and make your first left down the little Calle.
