Absolutely disgraceful - what a miserable dump

Campo de l'Arsenal is a prime example of everything that's wrong with tourist traps run by bitter, power-tripping owners who have no business being in hospitality. We were sitting peacefully, waiting for my brother - he gets a sandwich to go, sits down with us for a moment, and suddenly this angry little man (the owner, apparently) comes storming out like someone just spat in his soup. He starts yelling at my brother like a lunatic: "You said takeaway! You can't sit here!" Are you serious? The place was half empty, we weren't taking anyone's spot, and god forbid someone SIT DOWN for two minutes. The guy acted like we'd personally insulted his ancestors. Completely unhinged and clearly full of himself And the waitress? Just as nasty - snobby, cold, and looking at everyone like they're beneath her. Maybe she and the owner get off on ruining people's day. This isn't a restaurant - it's an ego trip disguised as a café. If you enjoy being treated like garbage by people who clearly hate tourists (but have no problem taking their money), then by all means, stop here. Otherwise, walk the hell on. Venice has too much beauty to waste time on this pathetic...

Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren und immer wieder gerne in dieses Lokal. Mittlerweile ist es eine schöne Tradition für uns, unseren Aufenthalt hier zu starten. An diesem Platz ist es nie voll, schöne Aussicht, ruhiges Ambiente. Dazu das freundliche, flotte Personal, gute Qualität und Preise. Die schlechten Bewertungen können wir absolut nicht nachvollziehen ! Wir sind hier noch niemals unfreundlich behandelt worden, obwohl das Service-Personal immer mal gewechselt hat. Wir trinken hier sehr gerne unseren Espresso, Cola Zero, Bier (auch alkoholfrei), Spritz und essen auch immer mal etwas, z.B. Sandwich. Alles war und ist immer frisch, lecker, gut gekühlt oder heiß, je nach Produkt und alles ist sauber und ordentlich, auch die Toiletten. Wer nach Venedig bzw. auch generell nach Italien reist, sollte wissen, dass Kaffee hier GENERELL im Stehen an der Theke deutlich günstiger ist als im Sitzen. Das hat auch rechtliche Gründe. Wenn es Sitzmöglichkeiten gibt, muss es auch Toiletten geben. Ansonsten nicht. Und es hat auch steuerrechtliche Gründe für den Betreiber (das ist übrigens auch in anderen Ländern so(!), zumindest in Europa). Es ist also wichtig, sich VOR dem Kaffeegenuss zu entscheiden, ob man im sitzen oder an der Theke stehend genießen möchte. Noch besser ist es, sich VOR einer Auslandsreise über das Reiseland zu informieren, um unfaire Bewertungen zu vermeiden, die auf Unkenntnis basieren, zu vermeiden und damit ggf. Lokale wie dieses hier geschäftlich...
