Unfortunately had a poor experience at de Canto Wine and Bar. Till waiting for my Landing at the Airport decided to get my Lunch by them. The Waiter a Man middle 40's greeted me and offered me a table to sit. I decided myself for a Polenta in Tomato Sauce with Scaloops. I had to wait 40Minutes to get my Food. In meanwhile I wanted to order some Water, tried to smile to the Waiter and talk to him. He said that he has no time for my order and left in rush. Another Waiter brought me 2 times a Glas of Chardonnay. After another 10Minutes they brought me My Polenta. It was dry and cold. Sadly after knapp an hour of waiting for my food I had no time to argue with them, did not want to lose my Flight. Another client, an italian Woman sitting in Front of me noticed his poor attitude towards me. She tried to cheer me up and compliment me. 5 Minutes Later he threugh a paper package filled with Foccacia Bread on my table and walked away. I tried to ask him if it was for me meant. He ignored me. At the end I was daring to leave the place as soon as possible. Did not...

As it says on the menu many times. A service charge is applied PER PERSON (including children). It also states on the menu that the food pictured isn’t exactly what you’ll get, understandable. Service was slow and for no apparent reason, we were one of five tables. This is normal for Europe to not immediately be waited upon, but this defiantly seemed to an extreme. Food was not fresh. We ordered the roast beef salad, mozzarella salad, Caesar and Tortellini (truffle and cheese sauce). The Caesar used mayonnaise for dressing which was bland and tasteless. The lettuce was iceberg also bland and colorless. Almost had the texture of cabbage it was so bad. The roast beef salad had over cooked eggplant which is “slimy and not satisfying”. The buffalo mozzarella salad was the best salad, looked and tasted as advertised. The tortellini was as advertised and quite delicious. For this reason only I give it 2 stars over 1 star. The pasta was most reasonable and the best.

Stay away from the salads, beware of surcharge to sit, and don’t expect...

We ate at this restaurant yesterday ,mid afternoon ,30 04 2019 ,we ordered fettuccine and balanzoni ,the food arrived cold and very very dry , cannot explain how tomato sauce can be dry , but it was just dried onto the pasta! We told waiter it was dry and asked for olive oil ,oh yes he gave us a bottle of olive oil but it was empty . I also had a bag of 3 bread rolls ,so dry and stale .we ploughed through as we were hungry and would not arrive home until 2300 .when my husband paid the bill of 45.90 EURO he told the cashier that the food was very dry ,she shouted the chef and we told him that the food was very dry and cold ,he just stared at us .just another bad experience of eating out in Venice ,we are wondering if we shall ever bother going again ,people will only be ripped off so many times .one star for the sweet little waitress who sat us down and explained that it was a...

Worst Tartuffo Pasta I ever had. Barely any sauce, pasta was quite dry. 2,5 slices of truffles. For a price of 32€ it‘s pathetic. Additionally, it seems like they pretend to be fancy. It’s a nice area, like a little exclusive plaza in the airport. But you have to wait to get seated (which takes time because the two waiters are always doing something else which is not even necessary because 70% of the tables were empty), drinks are basically just being tossed at your table (no opening of the bottle in front of you or pouring into the glass), everything is hectic and the two gentlemen who work there don‘t even bother to be nice. Whenever someone asked if it‘s ok so get drinks only the reply was a harsh „No! Dinner only!“ Rather get a sandwich at some other food court at the airport.

We treated ourselves a good meal before boarding. It is a good choice if you have enough time and money. The prices are of course not a surprise for a restaurant at a popular airport. The taste certainly matches the price. The same goes for the wines, by the way. And even though you also feel kind of full at the end of the meal, the amount on the plate doesn't give you that satisfaction. Maybe we are used to having full plates in Italy, maybe the plate itself was just too big that made the amount of pasta inside look small. In any case, we were probably deceived by our own expectations. You have to wait at the entrance to be seated and this might take a while. You can pay in the dining area without going over to the bar.
