While staying in Mestre, my boyfriend and I wanted to have a snack and some drinks. As it was just before 23:00, I was aware that there is a possibility that the bar would not be serving food. So, as common sense would prevail, I asked, would it be possible to have something to eat. "Yes, it is possible, but only pizza". Seemed reasonable.
So we sat down, ordered a drink while we were left to look at the menu. Quickly glanced and I picked a pizza to order when our drinks arrived. We were then told, "You can order 2 pizzas, but not one". "Excuse me?" "The kitchen is closed, will open to cook two pizzas but not one".

Read moreFollowing our meal, my wife looked to me and said: "That's the worst pizza I've ever had in my life." Mine wasn't quite so bad, but still pretty bad, and also burnt around the edges. I tried some of her pizza, and I wouldn't say it was the worst I've had, but the second worst as there's a place in Folkestone that still reigns supreme as being the worst. You could buy the cheapest pizza from a budget supermarket and it would be nicer than what I ate here.
The pizza also took ages to arrive, despite it being very quiet, and the drinks were ridiculously expensive.
