Osteria Pancin — Restaurant in Venice

We had made a reservation online and they did not have it by the time we arrived. They seemed not happy to try to find us a table (we should have left at that time)... The relation quality/price is not good. Food to expensive for the quantity and quality.

We paid for a plate for 3 people that was clearly only for 1 person. Moreover, they charge 3EUR per person only by stepping in, as it was a 5 stars restaurant when it is actually far from it.

The food was average but definitely not worth it the price we paid for it.

Last but not least, the cashier is very aggressive.

In Lido there ar emant nice restaurants specially in the main street. Prefer going there and avoiding this restaurant, you will eat better...

Venivo in questo ristorante per festeggiare il mio compleanno quando ero piccola, sono tornata questa sera non considerando il cambio di gestione molto felice di rivivere l’esperienza culinaria che ricordavo. A partire dalla scortesia e arroganza dei proprietari , che al telefono per prenotare rispondevano in maniera scorbutica e due volte hanno attaccato in faccia, ho subito avuto il presentimento che qualcosa fosse cambiato. Arrivati al ristorante abbiamo avuto la riprova di ciò venendo accolti in maniera davvero infelice dalla proprietaria. Abbiamo ordinato due fritture (25 euro l’una) e un pesce del giorno alla griglia con contorno di verdure (altrettanti 26/27 euro) quando la cameriera portò le fritture sembrava più in imbarazzo di noi, due piattini mi serissimi con una frittura palesemente comprata surgelata e riscaldata, con l’aggiunta pittoresca di zucchine carbonizzate . L’ora fa era nella media ma le verdure di contorno davvero terribili, i pomodori con un retrogusto di marcio difficile da ignorare. Siamo rimasti così sconvolti da dei piatti del genere con un conto finale di 100 euro, di cui 9 di coperto per un servizio ben lontano dal calore di una gestione familiare, 4 euro a bottiglia d ‘acqua ( di plastica , neanche da litro) , tavoli di plastica e pane del giorno prima riscaldato e secco all’ interno di un porta pane con ancora il codice a barre attaccato sopra. La cura e la passione per la ristorazione sono elementi imprescindibili per chi offre un servizio , soprattutto di questo tipo e con il compito di mantenere alto il nome di in osteria storica per i lidensi.
