This was some of the best seafood I have ever had. My daughter and I had lunch here during some of our free time on a tour. The staff was great and even though we couldn't have the charcuterie tray as an appetizer due to the slicer being broken, we ended up with the mixed fish appetizer and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a good mix of different seafood both warm and cold. Then when our main grilled fish for two came out, the waiter presented it to us on the perfectly plated platter from the kitchen and then proceeded to plate it individually for us deboning the whole fish in the process. The food at Trattoria La Battigia was absolutely phenomenal. This is the kind of place that should be written about in local newspapers, as I truly believe it is by far the most worthwhile restaurant to visit in the entire region. Special attention must be given to the gnocchi in porcini mushroom sauce with scampi. This dish takes you on a culinary journey, culminating in a catharsis for your taste buds. Once is simply not enough – one day, I will return here solely for this restaurant and this extraordinary dish. I wholeheartedly recommend it...

The best restaurant in Lido !!! We were there two times, and all the dishes were brilliant. We tried gnocchi with mushrooms, gnocchi with carciofi, and fritti di mare in all kinds. Everything was fresh and made with Italian taste. I can say it was the best food we ate in Italy. Highly recommend. Tiramisu was fine, but not excellent :) it is also important to look around and find "oggi" specials, which were not recommended during ordering food - we just saw it and asked about daily specials....
