Tappa Bistrot — Restaurant in Venice

A wonderful gastronomic discovery! We stumbled across this small new place (opened dicembre 2023!) walking aimlessly in the umbelievable unique city of Venice. This "Lab" as they called it (and it fits very well indeed), is born out of the enthusiasm of two young locals who created a fusion cuisine that combines top local quality ingredients with Asian influences. The outcome puts a smile on your face. Talk to them, they have bags of enthusiasm, energy, ideas, and they deserve all the help they can get to dare stepping outside of the traditional cuisine. Cherry on the cake, a selection of natural wines. The 5 of us (grandparents and grandkids - two teenagers- included) spent a marvellous moment. If you are looking for something different give a try! This is not a cheap street food stop but rather for the connaisseur of fine food looking for finger licking apperitif yet...

Excellent experience! Everything was fresh and delicious with a good service!

Food - we took the aperitif for 2 on the menu as we wanted to try many starters and enjoyed everything! After each of us wanted a different gnocchtti and both were delicious! I never had anything like that gnocchtti before it was so fresh!

Service - the ouner served us and was more then happy to tell us where all his products came from and there freshness! We recived a lot of recommendations and we felt very welcomed.

Atmosphere - we loved the decorations in the place and the style he went for but it was very small so sometimes we had to move a little.

Overall a unique and delicious experience with good food...

Came here for a nice final dinner in Italy, thinking we couldn’t possibly go wrong based on a perfect 5 star record — unfortunately, all three dishes were bland (particularly the two pastas, one of which was almost flavourless without salt) and when we finally got up to pay, we stood there waiting for at least 7-8 minutes while the server made drinks and had a chat with people (most of whom had only come up to the bar after we’d already been standing there), seeming in no hurry whatsoever to help us pay and leave.
