Osteria Marconi — Restaurant in Verona

My friend and I had dinner here few weeks ago because it was on the way between our B&B and the Arena: a waitress immediately set us a table simply by turning over the tablecloth that was already laid out! My friend asked for prosciutto and mozzarella, I asked for spaghetti carbonara, which we shared, so we asked for two empty plates, which arrived with greasy stains. The prosciutto was definitely too much, cut too thickly, and a rancid spot hadn't been removed; the mozzarella was nothing special. The spaghetti carbonara arrived 30 minutes later, barely warm, and with too much pepper (at least they should have asked!). Finally, it's OK that the tables are on the street, but they never cleaned the floor as there was plenty of cigarettes and other garbage, and this has been the worst! We will remeber this bad adventure for the next time that we will...

Worst experience ever in a Restaurant. The waiter was really rude from the beginning on. I ordered the Carbonara and she came out with the Pomodoro, i told her i didn’t oder that meal. She immediately good super mad. After reconsulting with somebody she came outside again and insisted I ordered the Pomodoro (i didn’t my friend heard me) She told me very angrily that I either eat the Pomodoro or get the Cabonara and pay for both Spaghetti.

I stood my ground and told her im not going to pay for both and then she stormed off furiously. Rudest waiter ever her mean behavior continued on through the whole experience (Most likely wasn’t her first time after reading the reviews).

We could’ve solved the whole thing in a civilized manner but that apparently wasn’t an...

Went there for a lunch with a few friends and we ordered different things- carbonara, hamburgers and a tagliata. The carbonara was plated very nicely and tasted great too. Others were happy with the hamburgers. The problem was with the tagliata.

The sirloin steak was cut as shown in other reviews (in smaller pieces), but also pan seared on each side of each piece, eliminating any blood from the meat (we were never asked how we wanted the steak to begin with). The cut of meat was also a lot smaller than what we saw on other pictures. We asked the waitress and she said it was supposed to be 250g which it wasn't. For the price of 22e, the plating was sloppy and the cut of meat disappointing. Would not recommend it, instead the other pasta dishes...
