HORRIFYING, AND ALSO—GO THERE. This vile excuse for a cafe is an essential part of waiting for your delayed train at Verona Porta Nuova, as the service is so unimaginably bad that it is a vibe. You have to see it for yourself. Our experience was similar to most other reviews:
We ordered just two macchiatos, one espresso, and an americano—because the food looked like a scene from the second day in the sun of a horror film scene. Instead they gave us two cappuccinos. When we pointed out the error they performed a drama matched only by Romeo’s suicide. Then they brought us an extra espresso but no americano. When we pointed this out they performed another drama, matched only by Juliette’s suicide. Finally we asked for tap water in our bottle. They said they’d have to charge us as if this were a Ryanair flight. The Americano was so filled with grit that it was undrinkable. The rest were… poor.
IMPORTANT: When you visit this spectacle, this filthy pinnacle of appalling service, YOU MUST JOIN THE PERFORMANCE. Give the wrong change. Use an expired card. Change your order randomly and make a scene about it. DON’T miss the opportunity to participate and the absolute depravity of this train...
Read moreAbsolutely awful experience. I asked a staff member about vegetarian options and she was kindly helping me on the side, when out of nowhere, an older woman with dark hair started yelling at me to get to the back of the queue. It was completely unnecessary and humiliating. When we returned to ask for her name, she and a male staff member laughed in our faces. Incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. I did not buy anything and will never return. Disgusting place with rude, strange staff. Avoid at all costs, she should be fired.
Also the sandwich’s had flies...
