Osteria Veneto's — Restaurant in Vicenza

Be aware that there is a new branch down a sidestreet closeby to the original restuarant. We were caught out by this, thinking we were in the original. Same name and menu. Food was OK, but crucially for a December evening, inadequate heating spoined out evening there.. None at all, until we said we were cold. We stopped by this restaurant for lunch, and even though we weren’t too hungry, the food completely blew us away. I ordered the suckling pig ribs, and they were honestly some of the best ribs I’ve ever had—so tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My girlfriend had the bigoli pasta with duck ragu, and it was just as incredible. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the ragu was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Sono stata in questa Osteria per godere ed assaporare i piatti tipici della tradizione vicentina. Il locale osserva tutte le regole anti-Covid, tra cui ovviamente, anche il controllo del.Green Pass all'ingresso. Il locale è molto piccino ed intimo, ottimo per dei pranzi e cene senza impegno. Il personale è cortese e disponibile. Abbiamo ordinato 1 Antipasto fatto da 6 cicchetti( praticamente dei paninetti conditi con carne e/o pesce), tutto sommato buoni. Come primo abbiamo optato per le tagliatelle al ragù d'anatra (vedi foto), una vera goduria. Solo alle tagliatelle do un 9 pienissimo. Come secondo abbiamo preso, 2 ossobuchi di vitello alla veneta con contorno (foto) e la polenta e baccalà alla vicentina. La carne era tenerissima, talmente tenera da tagliarsi da sola. Veramente buona. Non possiamo dire lo stesso del baccalà. La mia amica ha fatto molta fatica nel mangiarlo soprattutto per la presenza delle lische. Diciamo che non è un piatto che consiglierei. All'ossobuco do un bel 7 mentre al baccalà un 5 (erano veramente troppe le lische e la composizione del piatto non aiutava ad individuarle). L'unica nota dolente è stata la dimenticanza da parte della cameriera di un primo. Va bene ricordare le cose a memoria ma le comande vanno segnate. Solo dopo 2 segnalazioni e altra attesa (20 min circa) abbiamo finalmente potuto mangiare il primo piatto. Ma intanto gli altri due primi si erano freddati e non è proprio il massimo.
