An absolute joke. Google will tell you that this place is open all day which is partly why we chose it and waited 45 minutes for a table only to be told that the kitchen had closed and that we could order drinks and sandwiches. By this time most other places around here were closing so we had little choice - at least we'd be able to get some kind of refreshment. The reason for the long wait was not just the popularity but the fact that there was just 1 poor woman working the tables - she was rushed off her feet. Even though we could see empty tables while we queued, she just couldn't keep up with having to do absolutely everything. Another woman was very busy making the sandwiches while at the same time a guy was standing around doing almost nothing - I think I saw him carry a plate once. Morebthan anything else, the contempt for potential customers was extremely annoying. It would've been helpful to us and them as well as simply honest to say 'Look, sorry guys. We are understaffed and your wait might be a long one. Other places are available if you go now. If you wait, you might not get a cooked meal.' An hour after joining the back of a small queue we were able to order some food. If you are thinking of coming here make a reservation or come early. If there are no tables or not enough staff, leave immediately and look elsewhere. Based on this experience, I certainly will not be visiting their branches in Rome. I have rated the service with only 1 star - in truth this is grossly unfair to the 2 women who were doing their best in difficult circumstances. There were also a couple of guys in the kitchen, who would deliver food to tables, who seemed pretty busy too. Whomever is in charge of this fiasco really needs to consider how much they actually care about their customers and whether the hospitality business is...
Read moreThe experience might have felt better if the tagliere medio had looked even a little bit like that displayed on the web site. It was night and day. Our tray had two olives, one burrata cut in half (the only cheese) some eggplant, three dried tomatoes, two small pieces of artichoke, some unidentifiable strips of something, three small pieces of bread with something spread on them, and meager portions of prosciutto and two other meats that were almost identical. The board itself appeared to be no larger than the tagliere piccolo on the website, but had fewer items than even that. Had we never seen the picture on the website the board would have been so so. We feel we were definitely short-changed. A shame because it’s a cute little place in a great location. Of all the places we have eaten in Viterbo over the last couple of years this is the only one we...
