SWITCH FLAVOR — Restaurant in Asahikawa

This cafe is one of my favorite cafes in Japan, if not the entire world. The exterior is quite unassuming and would not prepare you for the uber cozy environment inside. It's clear that the owner put a lot of thought into decorating the place. I took so many pictures. The cafe is full of corners that are quite private even though it's not very big. The little enclave at the far right hand corner of the cafe when you enter is perfect for a couple. Once you go in there you never want to leave. The environment puts you immediately at ease and you just want to while away an afternoon or an evening. The drinks and food are also fantastic, and I didn't even have the glass parfait, which is what they seem to be famous for. Although my friend did. The scones were gourmet and very special. Honey and walnut? Figs and hojicha? And they were all warmed up before they were served. The coffee was also fantastic. I cannot recommend this cafe highly enough and it's one of the main reasons I would want to return to this mundane...

Last night in Asahikawa, looking around for dessert.

This café caught my eyes with their shop deco. Unique whereby, if you are lucky, able to snatch a private nook … privacy corner for yourself 😍

Ordered few items since it’s the last night before heading back to Sapporo 😅

Tiramisu parfait, NY cheesecake, honey bush tea and Sangria cocktail 🫣

Love it all… the cocktail had a little kick 😵‍💫 (beware of alcohol contents), the cheese cake is rich, creamy and soft. Tiramisu towards the end, not sure if it the rum, but it’s good. Finally, honey bush hot tea… no sugar added, nice mild aroma and taste.

Best of all, I have got my own privacy corner/nook for myself ☺️

The cutest cafe in all of Asahikawa. Only open at night, the interior of this cafe is warm and full of unique books and decorations. Each table is given its own little space so you can enjoy the space in some privacy. They're famous for their glass parfaits. The caramel parfait is quite sweet.
