Jazz Ornette / オーネット — Restaurant in Ashikaga

A small cafe/restaurant/bar and Jazz club. The space is very small, maybe enough room for 10-20 people? but that makes it very intimate and familial. Everyone was lovely when I visited for the jam session, which started at 8pm on a Saturday - the bar has its own piano, drum set, and double bass. Other musicians brought their own saxaphones, trumpets, and bongo drums. To play, it's 500 yen, to just watch is free (provided you order something). It serves snack foods and hot dogs, and cheap drinks, including tea, coffee, beer, whiskey, and cocktails.
