The closest I have found to proper street tacos on Okinawa. Carnitas is really good, as is the carne asada. (I think Iā€™ll have to order it minus French friesā€¦ ick) Hot sauces could be spicier, but thatā€™s Japan. Prices are good. Decor is good. Service is great. Tamarindo drink not too sweet, just right. Michelada not quite right for my tasteā€¦ but, with 1 million versions of that beverage out there, itā€™s very subjective. Carnitas burrito ā€œdirtyā€œ absolutely killer! Shrimp ceviche also very, very good. This place is awesome I will be back

The atmosphere is lively and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. While at the bar, I mentioned to the bartender how superb the tacos were, and he proudly told me they were his motherā€™s recipe. We exchanged a friendly fist bump, and his polite, welcoming attitude made the experience even better. If you havenā€™t been to Chingones yet, youā€™re missing outā€”this is a must-visit spot for great food and great vibes.

I learned this location opened recently and my family has been eager to check it out since it's closer to home for us. They did not disappoint. Stumbled upon this spot up in Kin (by Hansen) back during COVID. They had Mark Weins on their screen TV while we waited for our order! If youā€™re a true foodie you should know who Mark Weins is, and they do!

Unfortunately I lost my photos during my visit up North, but I must say their food is really tasty! That was when the Owner shared his excitement about their second location soon to open!

The Chatan branch is no different, VIBES are high, doors are busy and the food and sauces served DeliciosošŸ«°šŸ½šŸ™šŸ½

Pricey but happy to splurge when I want a Birria Taco or...
