I do not like to leave bad reviews but I was very disappointed with this place. I doubt they will take any constructive criticism because Japanese people do not believe in it. Hopefully my review will help those with sushi cravings.
This restaurant seems to be very popular amongst american tourists / soldiers in the area, so the local experience is almost non-existent (there were some Japanese people dining there though). Furthermore, the restaurant has a weird combination of local and american culture with baseball shirts hanging around and baseball matches on the TV. The decoration is a bit weird n my opinion.
The sushi here is also westernised so expect sushi with toppings /sauces on top, which in my opinion is a complete sacrilege. I had the fried chicken, some sushi rolls, takoyaki and nigiri. The nigiri and takoyaki were very good, but the sushi rolls were a bit disappointing because of all that sauce killing the fish flavour. Overall the prices are reasonable.
The service was very attentive and friendly. The sushi chef was checking on me all the time to make sure I was happy, which I appreciated.

Read moreHonestly this place is low key a huge disappointment. Everyone rants and raves over this place and it’s actually worse sushi than some of the places I’ve had back home. My friend ordered their one sushi and got a huge chunk of this chili that overpowered the whole roll and actually brought you to tears. And then she had to pick it out of her roll. Overall this place is low key trash compared to places like Gen. and the price is not worth the taste and quality of the food. I would rather go to sushiro than this place. Don’t waist your time for some mediocre food. It’s...
Read moreI can't recommend this place enough.
It's so deeply traditional and I love it. The sushi is amazing, the ramen is savory, and the entire experience is exactly what I want when I go out to find a good Japanese sushi or ramen shop. You get both here!
So many places in Okinawa have moved away from a traditional Japanese dining experience but this holds on. Don't hesitate to walk in, take your shoes off, and sit down to enjoy an amazing ensemble of ramen, sushi, or poke and any assortment of delicious sides.
The price is very reasonable, the food is delish, the...
