In the last 16 years I have traveled it to mind eight times to mainland Japan and Okinawa. I've been at several restaurants, to include a handful of Ramen ones. This is far away, the best Ramen that I have ever eaten in my life. Many people would agree that the star of ramen is the broth and this ramen had unequivocally the most tasty broth I've ever had. I did not add one single thing to dish to add any flavor. When I was finished, I was pouring the last few precious drops of broth into my spoon and satisfyingly slurping it down. When in Okinawa Kyoto Ramen should be on your food list. Honorable mention: the fried rice was freshly made an exception. The gyoza were quite tasty.

This is probably the best ramen joint we have now. You get your choice of shio, shoyu, or miso for the soup. The noodles come hard, medium, or soft and they're straight noodles here, not the curly kind, in case that makes a difference to you. You can also get as much (or little) pork fat as you want, or none if that's your thing. I would prefer a little thicker chashyu but it was tasty. They have all the fixins you need at the table. Prices are quite decent, nothing expensive. Don't forget to grab some cheese gyouza. This is easily going to be my new go-to ramen joint. And bonus points here, this place also accepts credit cards!

If you’re in the area and want some quick ramen or want to budget you can definitely come here. Although the food is average but I gave an additional star and a half for fast and friendly service and a great value. I got the spicy miso ramen with veggies. The kids set is also a steal, it comes with a ramen, and fried rice and toy from the treasure basket. Additional sides such as edamame or fries can be added. The large bottle of Asahi beer was also 500 yen (or $4.41 USD with today’s conversion rate)not bad for two people. A welcoming atmosphere goes a long way in my book. We will definitely be coming back!

I went to Kyoto Kitashirakawa Ramen two days in a row! There could be a small wait to find a seat if you desire a booth, but there seems to always be available seats with the stool seats. I loved how organized they are and the menus are offered in english, as well as japanese and korean. Maybe chinese also, but I am not sure. There are many choices of ramen and sides such as fried chicken, gyoza, and fried rice. Quick, easy, and delicious. That is how I like it. There is also english speaking staff. 👍🏿

This was my first ramen that I had in Japan since 2016. I ordered a ramen which had everything in it, and my husband ordered black oil ramen. Mine was kinda salty, but my husband ramen wasn't. We also added rice & gyoza. The rice was a little salty, but it was still good. We ordered 2 draft beer, and everything was only 3,400 yen. I highly recommend this restaurant. We were so happy to have real Japanese ramen, and this restaurant was the perfect place to start our ramen journey.

Originally we were going to try Volcano Ramen but they were closed so we decided to give Kyoto Ramen a try. We ordered Ramen & chicken wings to go only to be told they didn't have anymore chicken wings so we asked for the chicken tenders. We tried to order regular drinks but was told no drinks to go...what the heck!?! The Ramen was over-rated...need some flavor (packaging was good) and the chicken tasted like it was fried in burnt grease.
