This place, as the name suggests, has both an onsen with sauna (spa) and two separate outdoor pools -- one is warm and the other is cool. The spa is crowded with locals in the morning and tourists at night. There is less people in the evening (the pool is a different story). Despite the high temperature of the onsen, it doesn't feel hot because of the windy outdoor, where it is located. (There is an indoor onsen if one prefers not to go outside.) The pool is suitable for families with children. During the busy hours, however, activities are limited because of crowding. The staff here are very experienced and helpful and get you into the facilities in a quick manner. The staff don't speak English but basic Japanese is all that is needed. First put your shoes in the security box at the entrance and pass them the key at payment time. They will then take.thr payment and provide you a locker key for.tour clothes in the changing room. The onsen is pretty average, they do have a sauna though which is nice. The pool however is questionably slimy??? Probably from all the sunscreen tourists slab on but it was pretty gross. I don’t recommend you put your face in the outdoor pool lol
