Ninja Punch — Restaurant in Chatan

Ninja Punch is a Mexican Burrito, Bowl, and Taco place that is hiding off in a corner of the back end of Araha Beach, and is definitely a hidden gem! Tucked away next to a few other shops, this unassuming shop is definitely a great spot for some more authentic American-style Burritos!

The burritos are decently sized, about a foot long or so, and have some heft to it, but they're not overly heavy or stacked like some of the State-side places are. This isn't a bad thing at all, since their burritos are a nice balance of rice, meat, and toppings, meaning you're not getting a full double-carb rice-log burrito like some State-side places offer. The prices are around 1,500 yen or so, making them equivalent to most stateside meals.

The California burrito was very delicious! The french-fries were solid--not soggy and slightly firm, and with no rice in that particular burrito it was a very nice balance of meat and carbs. The steak is very good and has a nice chew to it. They do smaller chunks of steak rather than the finely chopped steak at some Mexican joints, but the meat was flavorful and had a nice chew to it. Their ultimate winner for me was their Chipotle Sauce! It is creamy, has a nice light kick to it (just enough spice to notice but not overwhelm), and paired everything in that burrito incredibly well. I would honestly buy that sauce in a bottle if they would sell it! Thankfully there's a whole sauce bar where you can just keep filling up on it (along with other sauces and hot sauce)!

The staff was super friendly, kind, fun, and engaging! They were very attentive to the guests and you could tell that they put a lot of passion and fun into the work that they do. This is another quaint little passion-project restaurant, and it is incredibly enjoyable and quite delicious! I personally love seeing these types of places succeed and have a steady customer stream.

It was nice to finally visit Ninja Punch. I do enjoy burritos and tacos. It was unfortunate to hear that they no longer have the crunchy tacos, but it provided me the opportunity to try additional items on the menu. I ordered the chipotle steak burrito, fries, sauce station, and ginger ale. The chipotle steak burrito is delicious and comes with toppings such as lettuce, rice, etc., which is displayed on the menu. The fries are shoestring and crisped to perfection. I could tell it was made to order because it delivered to the table very hot. It didn't take love for the for the food to be delivered.

The staff is very friendly and professional. The menu is convenient as it is in English and Japanese, has photos, and description of the food. What you see is what you get, which is amazing. There is indoor and outdoor sitting. Parking is minimal, but there is street parking available. Also, you can park at the Araha Beach parking lot and walk over to Ninja Park. The restaurant has wonderful vibes, music, alcoholic beverages, and water station.

This place is amazing!!! I’ve been here only twice but after the first time I was in love. The steak burrito is absolutely amazing. More than enough to fill you up and loaded with meat. The steak is delicious well seasoned, expertly cooked, it seems like a really really high quality cut of steak. I tried the chicken burrito was also DELICIOUS. Really authentic great Mexican food you have to try it. You are treated like a friend and feel comfortable. Atmosphere is magnificent. I got to-go about an hour before closing food was ready lighting fast and they even threw in a free drink that’s amazing service I don’t get anywhere else in Okinawa.
