Erbaccia — Restaurant in Fujiyoshida

Came here for dinner on a Wednesday and it's probably the best meal I had in Japan. If you had to order one dish, it would be the Tuna Carppacio. A truly outstanding dish that I had to order it a second time. Also the Herbed Chicken off their daily specials menu was so juicy and tender. Pasta was pretty decent too. Price wise it is VERY reasonable for the high standard of food you're getting.

The cosy restaurant is run by a middle aged Japanese couple. There's a slight language barrier but nothing that google translate can't overcome. After the meal the guy came out to greet and talk to us for a short while :)

Wow wow wow and another wow, i usually don’t write reviews but i can’t not leave a review for such an amazing, wonderful, delicious food! To be honest i didn’t have a lot of expectations because i have very high standards when it comes to pizza, i ordered the margarita and it was so delicious that i got another one ride away. I also got tuna carpaccio, i never had fish carpaccio before and this one opened a whole new world for me. The couple that runs this restaurant are very warm and welcoming and i wish i could make them move to California so i can keep eat their food and enjoy their hosting experience over and over again. Just come. The food, hosts and everything was amazing.

I am a serious amateur pizza maker and there are some things I expect - the crust should have a chew, yet dry/ crunchy bottom and the pie needs to be baked at a very high temperature. The pizza at Erbaccia delivered on ALL these things.

Tuna carpaccio was superb. So well balanced with flavor and texture.

Finally, thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and asparagus pasta in tomato cream sauce.

We eat pescatarian and the restaurant was more than capable of catering for us. The chef came out to goodbye in English and all I could thank him with was “totemo oishii! Arigato gozaimuska”
