I biked 10k back and forth everyday to eat here. This is easily one of the best meals of my life!
The shop is run by the sushi master and his wife, and they're the kindest people I've met in Japan. Food is heavenly and the sushi tastes like the ocean: pure and nourishing. The amount of fish/uni/ seafood they use is generous. They're open for both lunch and dinner. The master is in his 70s and the shop has been around for 36 years. So this place has a long standing history
For your best experience, I want to highlight the following: The restaurant is cash only, so have a lot of cash in advance There's no pricing per item Some people are turned off by this. I'm not. I find the pricing overall extremely reasonable. If you love sushi and want to go for mostly premium items, I'd say budget somewhere between 10000 - 15000 yen For reference, I ate till I couldn't walk anymore and the bill was 10000 yen The couple speak very limited English, but they do understand basic phrases. If you're fluent in body language (pointing at items) and Google translate you'll be fine Go for the omakase. The master knows his craft If you really need control over your budget and don't like any surprise, you can tell him the maximum amount you are willing to spend in advance. He'll accommodate
I left the restaurant with happy tummy and happy soul. Definitely treat yourself here if you are in the area. You...
Read moreThe photos speaks for themselves. This is a small nigiri sushi place run by an elderly couple (they speak limited English), both sushi counter and tatami seats available but seats are limited - saw a group of four got turned away because there weren’t enough seats. I was lucky I got my hotel to make a reservation earlier during the day.
The menu is what you see in other pictures — a frame of the different types of sushi, you can either select what you want or let the chef decide (omakase) and let them know how many pieces, I think the chef selected the best and freshest for me - I still asked for seconds of some of my favourites (as seen in the repeats in my photos).
For 13 pieces of fresh good nigiri, it was about ¥8,500 for me, definitely value for money. I asked the chef for less rice so I could have more fish. Will come back again when I’m in the area. Thank you for the great experience!

Read moreNestled in the shadow of Mount Fuji, this cozy sushi spot, run by an elderly couple, made our dining experience unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, we felt warmly welcomed, like old friends coming home. The owners’ kindness and dedication to their craft truly set this place apart.
The sushi? Beyond amazing. Every bite was an explosion of freshness, with flavors so pure it felt like tasting sushi for the first time. We couldn’t help ourselves and ended up ordering nearly everything on the menu—and each dish was as delightful as the last. The fish practically melted in our mouths, while the rice had the perfect texture and seasoning.
It’s clear this couple puts heart and soul into every piece of sushi they prepare. This is not just a meal; it’s a personal, authentic experience. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. If you’re ever in Fuji, don’t miss...
