This was our first time experiencing an aged sushi omakase, and it was truly an incredible discovery.
We booked the 6:30 PM seating for two, and finding the restaurant was effortless—it's conveniently located on the ground level of the building. The space itself is small and intimate, accommodating up to nine guests, which makes for a cozy and highly personalized dining experience. The chef meticulously prepares everything right in front of you in a classic omakase setting, assisted by two attentive staff members.
The food was absolutely outstanding, featuring top-quality, rare ingredients like fugu shirako and blue eel. The aged selections for our meal included tuna, uni, prawn, seabream, and oyster, each expertly crafted to enhance its depth of flavor. Despite not speaking English, the chef goes above and beyond to engage with foreign guests, using an iPad and Google Translate to explain every dish in detail. His warmth and effort truly elevate the experience.
The sake selection is excellent, showcasing various local brews from Fukuoka Prefecture, and the service is impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive, as expected from a high-caliber omakase establishment.
