Our recent lunch at Shirogane Komichi, where I preordered two sets when making the reservation, left me feeling meh… The location and interior design were lovely—elegant, with a calm atmosphere that initially set the stage for a pleasant meal. The food, however, did not live up to expectations. While the ingredients were fresh and seasonal, and the meal featured the famous mentaiko of Fukuoka, the dishes felt surprisingly plain and lacked the depth of flavor I had hoped for. I was expecting a bit more of a detailed introduction to the ingredients or at least some explanation about the plates, but that was missing. The dining atmosphere, too, was less than ideal—while the space was beautiful, it was noisy (with kids yelling and no action was taken to stop them) and not as relaxing as I had anticipated. At 6,000 yen for two, the price seemed reasonable, but the overall experience was truly disappointing. The meal didn’t quite suit our taste, and unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning. While the restaurant has potential, the lack of attention to the dining atmosphere and the underwhelming flavors didn’t meet the...

Great relaxing ambience paired with wonderful seasonal dishes. A marvelous experience that I would recommend to anyone seeking to discover local Japanese food culture, and even to those Japanese looking for a healthy, regional meal. I had the earthenware pot rice set meal, accompanied by a dozen of local side dishes featuring freshly cooked or raw products from vegetables, fish and meat. I would rank as top the tofu with pumpkin and stewed beef offal. The rice is served in its claypot so you can serve it yourself at your pace and dashi is also provided. Staff was great, helpful and fast, as well as fluent in English. The set is 3.500¥ but considering the relaxing ambience of a meal facing the garden and the good food, it makes a good value for money experience. Totally recommended...

Had a wonderful meal here—the set menu was flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is calm and elegant, making it a really enjoyable place to slow down and savor the experience.

For the quality of the food and the ambiance, the price felt very reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail and the refined setting.

Highly recommend if you're looking for a place that combines great food with a thoughtful, peaceful dining environment. Will...
