Hananoki — Restaurant in Fukuoka

What a beautiful ambiance approaching perfection! Service was very good and could be at the height of excellent with some minor improvements.

The lunch food ranged from true Michelin * excellence to a main course that should never have left the kitchen! The stand out dish was a pumpkin/squash mouse dish that was outstanding. Most other courses were good to excellent except for the beef main course that was so tough, chewy and sinewy one had to debate whether to swallow or not: terrible and nowhere near Michelin * standard!

The flavour of the beef was fine and it appeared to have been cooked correctly so it must be the cut of beef used. I note another reviewer has experienced this same problem.

Please! I really want to rate this restaurant 5* because everything else is so wonderful ...please don't ruin it by serving an inappropriate cut of chewy and...

I was looking forward to coming here and it was definitely as good as it looked! I made a reservation on their website, which was quick and straight forward. I would recommend coming for lunch (lot cheaper and you get to admire the great view of Ohori park). There are several lunch set menu options - we got the 4000Y one per person. This restaurant has a lot of history, looking at the things in the downstairs lobby, lot of rustic wood decor and furniture. There is also a private room called 1972? or something for a group of people. Staff spoke english well and were very attentive and polite. Food was exceptional and of great quality! Very worthy of a michelin star and the view was spectacular. It can get a litte bit hot in summer in the main dining area, but it wasn't an issue. Well done! Will be back next time we...

We visited this place to celebrate my beloved wife’s birthday. Located by a peaceful lakeside in Fukuoka, the view from inside the restaurant was absolutely stunning. From the moment we entered until we were seated, the staff was incredibly kind, making us feel truly welcomed.

We were extremely lucky to have the opportunity to dine at the very table where Marilyn Monroe sat and dined in 1953. The French cuisine was exquisite, and we would like to express our gratitude to the handsome staff member who kindly explained each dish to us.

My wife felt immense happiness celebrating her birthday here, and I was just as delighted. We sincerely appreciate Hanano ki Restaurant for creating such a wonderful and memorable...
