Shirayuki is a hidden gem in Fukuoka. It's a small and cozy place, but makes for an amazing culinary experience, with good sake (japanese rice wine) you can add-on to elevate the experience. I would strongly recommend foreigners looking to splurge more than 10K yen per pax meal to try Shirayuki for the variety of fresh and delicious Japanese ingredients. Do take note that reservations are strongly encouraged, set aside some time to find the place (rather difficult to find for a tourist), and be prepared with some form of translation tool (Google translate etc.) to interpret the menu, and you should have a good time here.

5000円くらいのランチコース利用です。高宮通り沿いですが、少し奥まったところにあります。料理は全て野菜と魚介で展開された内容。一品一品ものすごく丁寧な仕込みがされてるんだろうなあという上品で質の高い料理。旬の食材を存分に堪能でき、久しぶりに和食でおおーって思える料理を食べられました。8000円のコースもあるので今度はそっちを食べてみたい。この日のランチは自分たちともう一組だけ。凄く静かで居心地よかった。あ、そうそうランチではカードは使えないようです。
