Geographical location is great, about 100-200m away from subway station which is 2 stops away from hakata station. Can walk to tenjin station, daimaru. There's also a bic camera store nearby.Close to not bad eateries. The reception front desk is located on the third floor, then you still need to transfer to another lift to get to the hotel rooms. This part was very troublesome especially when the hotel gets increasingly crowded with all the big groups of tourists. There was also no alternate way to get from the first to third floor like via escalator. Basically two lifts connecting L1 to L3 then 4 lifts connecting L3 to L13 Anyone could access any level but you'll need a door card to enter the corridors leading to the hotel rooms. I.e. the open access is limited to the lift lobbies of the respective storeys.Water dispenser and coffee dispenser are available at L3. These are complimentary. Not a single time when we passed the lobby and it's quiet. Seems like they take in alot of tour group bookings. Room was spacious though. But space was not well utilized in our opinion. Like there was plenty of space but desk was very small? Mirror was facing the bed too which was a big no-no for me AND take note you'll need to step into the bathtub to take a standing shower if you're not using the bathtub for a bath. And the bathtub can get slippery to be honest. Perhaps give an anti slip map if there are no plans to refurbish the washroom to facilitate showering outside of the bathtubAnd btw they're real particular about the cutoff time for you to indicate DO Not disturb. Use the magnet behind your room door and stick it on the front door if you do not want them to enter your room for cleaning. I missed out and was shocked to see someone In my room after I came back...
Read moreThis is one of the best hotels I ever stayed at! Me and my friend enjoyed our stay a lot. The hotel gives luxury vibes with not expensive prices, the staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. We arrived 3 hours earlier and could get a room with laying for those 3 hours which wasn’t expensive but was very convenient after tiring flight. We took lunch right away and it was a well served restaurant with the waitresses kindly describing every dish to us in English. The buffet breakfast we took next morning was rich in options and very delicious, too, so I highly recommend book a room with breakfast. The room we booked was incredibly spacious, not only for Japanese hotel room size standards, but generally big, beautiful, clean. The view from the window was fantastic. The bathroom was also big, with separate toilet room and big bathtub. There even was makeup cleansing oil and bathtub salt. Every day when we returned back to hotel the bathroom smelled incredibly nice after cleaning.Location is just perfect, subway stop is in like 1 min walk and convenient to go in any direction. 24/7 shops nearby, as well as many food choices in daytime and at night, bars and shisha places. Walking distance to shrines and malls. Overall we had the best experience at this hotel and I highly recommend it to everyone! When I come back to Fukuoka again (which is a highly enjoyable city for rest) I’m definitely staying at this...
Read moreI have had very good experience from hotel Monterey Osaka and thought Monterey Fukuoka should be nice too. No doubt the rooms was very spacious and comfy, unfortunately I don't feel hospitality from the hotel staff. At arrival, 3 of us had to manage 8 to 9 pieces of luggages from ground floor to 3rd floor where reception is located, we had to grab and push the hotel's long push cart to 3rd floor, no one offer to help when we were struggling to move the big push cart, the lady staff (Otsuka) speaks robotic and cold, felling very unwelcomed at the end of check-in process.
On the last day , when we took lift to the reception, a hotel staff was in the lift, no greetings no interaction so we thought he was housekeeping department but I was wrong as he proceeded to reception and completed our check-out.
Overall location is good but I wouldn't come back to this hotel as I felt we are not welcome from the staff's gestures. There are many nice hotels at the same street which I'm...
