It’s a good restaurant, which has a really good service, huge hand-painted posters(paintings), and overall a really good atmosphere and service(and it’s really cheap). The food on the other hand, was good, but not the best. The naan, roti and lassi were really good but the curry itself was good(ish) at best. The curry’s were, in comparison to other Indian restaurants I went to, not that authentic. I felt that they were either too sweet or too spicy. The first time I went the food was really good, but the second time I didn’t enjoy it as much. This means that the taste of the food is inconsistent. Sometimes it tastes good, but sometimes it’s bad. Also, I’d like to note that for those that all the staff are Nepali, and according to my knowledge, even the owner is Nepali. So calling this restaurant Indian is honestly is a bit dishonest. It should be called a Nepali restaurant. But, for me it doesn’t personally matter much. So I think they should improve the taste(authenticity) and consistency of the food. The best Indian food in Funabashi.
Everything about this place is perfect. The staff are very friendly and the Tencho has a genuine smile on his face at all times. I have visited for lunch several times and always get today’s curry, whatever it is. It is guaranteed to be good. Plus they don’t just do chicken + “whatever” they put genuine thought into the menu. The last time I visited the curry of the day was sag- keema. Outstanding!
The spicy tomato soup tastes wonderful, and they are one of the few Indian restaurants I have been to in Japan that doesn’t have carrot dressing for the salad.

船橋駅から少し歩くと、立ち飲み居酒屋などが軒を連ねる活気ある裏通りに辿り着く。 そんな場所に「ガンディー」さんは店を構えています。 かなり古めかしいビルに入っているが、席数は34席でまあまあ広め。 店内はインドの伝統的な装飾が施されており、壁にはインドの絵画やタペストリーが飾られていて、異国情緒の漂う風景が描かれています。 働いているスタッフさんも、皆海外の方ばかりでその世界観を一層引き立ててます。 日本語も喋れる方で、ホスピタリティも高く笑顔も素敵⭐︎ メニューが兎に角豊富で色々と迷っている私に、優しくレクチャーもしてくれました。 とりあえず初訪問だったので、色々楽しめるセットメニューを注文する事にしました。 この日はラストオーダー直前の21:00頃来店、待つ事なくすんなり入れましたよ。
