Saigen — Restaurant in Furano

We arrived at 7:50 so most restaurants were closed. They were kind enough to accept us on the condition that we would wait 10 minutes and eat only ramen, which was totally fine with us. However, we ended up waiting 1h15 before actually eating. Many other clients were served before us… We felt like totally invisible.. We waited almost 25 minutes outside. Then waited an other 30 minutes to order food and drinks. It was very long.. Maybe because of the wait, we found the ramen pretty disappointing (but we must say we did not order the shrimp one which seems to be the specialty). In a nutshell, not a very good...

Great mom and pop ramen place! They bent over backwards for our group. Menu is in Japanese and they don’t speak much English but somehow we made it work. Highlights were the spicy miso Ramen soup, soy ramen and gyoza. The French fries are actually hand cut this potato slices.
