Ooshimo — Restaurant in Hakuba

My family and i first visited Ooshimoshi in Jan 2018 and really enjoyed the restaurant. We visited again in Jan 2020 and enjoyed it just as much. The food is genuine Japanese, the meal portions are large and the price is far less than you would pay in the nearby restaurants of Echoland or Wadano. Dinner for 4 was under ¥4,000 including a good sized Sake. The Pork with Kimchi is excellent. Compare this to some of the restaurants in Echoland where you spend min 2 to 3 times as much and go home hungry. Don't expect fancy atmosphere though. This is a locals restaurant, well...

The best bang for your buck 900 yen for pretty much 2 whole chickens and a bunch of curry! I worked in Hakuba for 3 months and this was my go to spot. The service is fast and the same server every time is so good at what she does. She is the only one and sometimes can get busy. This is the place I miss most of all the restaurants in Hakuba.
