We just went in for a quick cup of coffee and a piece of toast. We were met with kindness and a welcoming attitude. Within seconds we realized we were in for service in world class. She came down with little clothes for our labs so we would get dirty clothes. We were offered brandy in the coffee. The owner presented us with information af miyajima. Then they presented us with tea - free of charge. When we went to pay, we were offered origami kimonos.
We then had a look at the ceramics. We found two bowls and then everything just went to a whole other level of service.
We were guided out of the shop through the back door. The owner led us back to her home, because she wanted to wrap the bowls in a box. We then entered her shop that was part of the house. Here we presented with a little tour around, and a story of her life while her colleague wrapped the bowls.
Then we went back to the coffee shop and paid. They bowed and waved until we were out of sight.
