What a nice, local place. The restaurant itself has seen better days, it is old, but the price and tasty food make up for it. I’ve seen some reviews about bad food and rude owners but this is absolutely not our experience. The owners work hard and have no time for pleasantries but even with the language barrier we had a great laugh together when we left.

The food was really nice too, not just cabbage and sauce as someone described it. We had the variant with noodles, meat and egg and it was great. Maybe if you only order the cabbage and sauce variant you get what you pay for..? 🤷🏼

This was my first time trying Okonomiyaki in Japan. I had heard that this is a dish not to be missed at Hiroshima, so I looked around for Okonomiyaki restaurants around Hiroshima castle that we were visiting. A modest place run by the husband and wife duo. The taste of the Okonomiyaki was delicious and the portion was filling enough. It was a treat to watch the chef make the dish from scratch on the hot griddle ("teppan"). Wholly recommended and do go for the variety that is suggested by the chef's wife in case you aren't sure of what to order. Quite cheap than the other places too. This needs to be more famous than...

Managed by nice older mariage i think. Good times are behind this place but still was nice to seat there with locals. Ordered noodles with cabbage and meat and i was tasty. With beer paid 1100 cheap....
