Seafood Fugu Cuisine Fukufuku — Restaurant in Hiroshima

I just ate a Fugu set meal. About six dishes including sashimi, hotpot and deep fried. It was all delicious. I had Hire Sake to drink (Sake with Fugu fins). It was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The sashimi was absolutely beautiful.The staff were incredibly attentive and explained all the courses in some detail and were responsive to questions. I couldn't book a table online as I didn't have a Japanese phone number which was required. I just turned up about 6pm on a Wednesday evening and was the only one there. First time eating fugu. Really enjoyed the experience. We booked a course online but it wasn't easy with the japanese website Gurunavi. This is not the restaurant's fault. The fugu course was DELICIOUS. It was nice to eat that fish in differents ways. Believe it or not, the taste varies greatly between the cooking methods. Small locally owned restaurant. Had to try fugu at least once in Japan, and am glad I came to this place.

The fried fugu is simply the best fried fish I have ever had.

The owner/chef personally came to invite me in and made sure I felt welcome. The English skills of the staff were limited, but that's okay. Nothing translate apps couldn't overcome, and it was clear they were trying hard to ensure I had a good experience.
