Generally speaking||||Super hotels are of the same standard across all of Japan,||However this hotel in particular surprised us by having no breakfast bar when we arrived at 8.30am which we were told is the ‘cut off’ ||Highly dissatisfied as there was never any mention of a cut off or limitation to when you HAD to be at breakfast, this MUST be informed to customers when they check in!||Why pay extra money for a service you’re unable to fairly use, disappointed does not do justice to how I feel. The saving grace only would be the Gentlemen at check in (22-6-18, 4pm) there manors were great and very very helpful polite men but should have let us know about the short breakfast times. ||||Generally most super hotels are good and you can enjoy a standardised living across the country. This super hotel is further away from most of the key locations so having breakfast here was a key reason we chose to stay here in particular.||||Left feeling deceived and hungry, not what you want your customer to be when they check out, hence my obviously low rating.||||Won’t stop me from visiting super hotels elsewhere, I just will not...
Read moreThis hotel had the best staff service of any hotel in our month long stay in Japan, and had some of the best amenities as well - all for being incredibly affordable. We were welcomed so warmly by the staff, and it was a relief after a long day of travel. The ability to pick our own pillow was nice - be sure to do this early in the day as they run out toward the evening. Our room was very clean and smelled fresh. It is small but has everything a couple needs for a restful stay. As for their long list of amenities: The breakfast was hot, fresh, and delicious. There are free drinks in the lobby in the evenings. The laundry facilities were very cheap and easy to use. The TVs in the room are smart TVs, so foreigners can watch YouTube or Netflix in their own language. There are free rental bikes you can check out from reception. The location is very near a shopping center where you can get food or other supplies, and also quite near transportation to get around the city - not that it's a very long walk to get anywhere at all. Would wholeheartedly...
Read moreWe booked this hotel on a whim as we wanted to do a quick tour of Hiroshima and Miyajima. The hotel was located about 12 minutes from the Atomic Bomb Dome and Museum, in a quite-ish part of town. across the street is a side area where there looks to be a market that takes place every week during spring/summer, so there is lots to see and do.
We walked everywhere and the main Hiroshima station was a quick light rail car away (Y200). The hotel is dated, but adequate for what we needed it for. The room was small and dated, but we are not big people, but those with huge luggage will have some challenges unless the hotel can store the luggage somewhere else.
The included breakfast is worth the price, it was in a well-appointed restaurant with lots of seating right in the lobby area. We were set up on the 16th floor which made me nervous (earthquakes, pretty sure there was a mild one, one night...). Couple trip with...
