Let's start by saying it's an all-around great place to eat and I highly recommend it.
Location wise it's easy to find if you follow maps and is only a 10 minute walk from Hiroshima station.
Looks wise, it's a small restaurant with clean air, airconditioning and seating for 2-8 people. They might be able to fit more, but those are comfortable numbers at least.
Reservations can be made online, but it was pretty calm and we came in unannounced with 6.
The staff is kind and takes great care of the customers. They are quick to respond if you have a question or want to place an order.
The food was great quality and very juicy. I recommend trying the pork (belly) and the kalbi (cow ribs cross-cut style from korea).
If you want to try something new, give the cow's tongue a try. A new one for many, yet it tastes similar to the other cuts with a little more bite, yet still extremely tender and not wiry or tough.
If you do not have a Japanese speaker in your group, make sure you have Google translate ready. The staff is extremely attentive, but does not speak English. The menu is offered physically in Japanese and does support multi-lingual via an online app (LINE). They however only partially translated categories, and not all menu items. So two phones are required to order online, or translate the menu and point + some basic japanese words to inform the staff of your choices. It takes some extra time but is worth it.

Read moreWe first came here in March of 2024, loved their food, service, hospitality and ate here every night for 7 days in a row but I forgot to write a review. We came back this June, the menu has a lot more items to choose from and the food is still delicious as it was before. The prices are very reasonable, the food quality is high, owner and staff remember us from last year and treat us very well. They use real bincho, have a good exhaust systems to suck out smoke from cooking, clean bathroom, nice comfortable safe atmosphere and a large screen tv.
We come to Japan every year for 3 weeks and always spend 1 week in Hiroshima to visit family. I will always return to YakiYaki Kampaisakaba every year as even my 11 year old daughter loves...

Staff was very friendly and quick. The Waitress was very patient and kind and she worked with me even though they spoke little English. (Google translate came in clutch.)
Ventilation was very good, no smokey atmosphere in there for yakiniku.
I got an order of upper ribs, top loin, and two orders of skirt steak, large bowl and small bowl of rice. All four sauces, and ended it with the assorted fruit plate. All that came in...
