If you're in search of an authentic Indian dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute MUST-visit. The portions are quite generous, and every dish is bursting with delicious flavors. As someone who is passionate about Indian food and even traveled to India for a month, I can confidently say that this restaurant truly captures the essence of Indian cuisine.
What truly impressed me was the presence of many Indian people enjoying their meals at the restaurant. This is a testament to the quality and authenticity of the dishes. It was truly reminiscent of the incredible meals I had in India, and I never expected to find such an authentic taste here in Japan.
As someone who frequently travels and tries different cuisines, this Indian restaurant stands out as one of the best non-Japanese meals I had during my trip. If you're a fan of Indian cuisine or simply looking to explore new flavors, I highly recommend paying this restaurant a visit. You won't be...
Read moreAs an Australian with Indian heritage currently in Japan, I was not expecting to get good authentic Indian food during my holiday in the Land of the Rising Sun. But it turns out I was wrong.
Just a stone's throw away from our hotel sat the Roopali, and by the gods it was the goods and then some!
Myself and an associate popped in and both got Thali meals, myself getting the Roopali thali with also comes with tandoori chicken and sheekh kebab. Absolutely massive meals got served to us by very friendly staff, and they tasted divine! The soup was very tasty, the naan was huge with a great taste and texture, the chicken and kebab were superb, and the curries were as authentic as they come! Even the lassi and plum sour I got was amazing!
I have scarcely ever had Indian food this good anywhere, and I've had a lot of Indian food in my lifetime! Would 10/10 come back here if I ever find myself in...
Read moreExcellent food, very nice staff, and fun interior decor. The staff spoke English and Japanese, and the menu is available in English as well. They have a variety of spice levels and all different kinds of meals available, and they have a discounted lunch set which is super good deal.
I got a butter chicken masala dinner set for ¥1950, which comes with curry (of your choice), salad, naan bread, rice, tandoori chicken, rice cracker and drink. The naan and tandoori chicken were particularly good, but the whole thing was delicious. HUGE portions too; I wasn’t able to finish mine so it might even be enough for 2 people to split if they have smaller stomachs. I got the “normal” spice level, which I think is aimed at Japanese spice tolerance as it was just a little spicy (maybe American equivalent of “mild” haha).
It’s very close to the train station, so if you have time to stop by I highly...
