TL;Dr - Rooms are fine, service was fantastic
It's really important when reviewing to be aware of the price range. This is towards the budget end of hotels, and my review is with that in mind.
Location: Great. Really easy to get to Hiroshima Station, about 5 mins walk. Makes getting to other places really easy via train/tram. There are also some 7-11/Lawson/Familymart about 5mins walk away, and a number of restaurants too.
Rooms: These are good for the price. Nothing special but they have everything you would want. Bed, TV, air con (with remote), fridge, bathroom with bath+shower. They are small, but for Japan they are normal. Actually slightly bigger than the APA I stayed at in Tokyo.
Service: This was where they made my stay. English is limited (fair enough, we're in Japan), but some staff are more fluent and they make an effort to interact with you. Took luggage and stored it before check-in without hesitation. When it came to checkout they had no problem with my washing going slightly over, then no problem with storing my luggage again until my bus that evening. Throughout the whole time everyone was faultlessly polite and helpful, and it made the whole time there pleasant.
Special mention to the man working reception on Mon 21st July who went out of his way to help.
All in all, if you're looking for a room to sit in it's probably not for you. But if you're looking for somewhere to sleep as a base to go and do things then you can't really...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at Urbain Hiroshima Executive
I recently had the misfortune of staying at the Urbain Hiroshima Executive, and unfortunately, my experience fell far short of my expectations.
Rating: 2/5
From check-in to check-out, several issues marred my stay. The room, although touted as executive-level, felt cramped and lacked adequate amenities. The bed was uncomfortable, and the noise from the surrounding area made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
Service was also underwhelming. Staff seemed unresponsive to requests, and communication was often strained due to language barriers.
For a hotel of its caliber, I expected more attention to detail and better overall quality.
Pros: Central location
Cons: Small rooms, uncomfortable beds, noise pollution, poor service
Would I recommend? No
Would I stay again? No

Read moreLocation is 10mins walk for Hiroshima Station (5mins if you take the slightly secluded lane at the back). Vicinity wise, there are lots of amenities including a dry cleaner, 24 hour supermarket, F&B outlet etc. Hotel is spare but basic even though the room I had was very small. The double bed took up all the space leaving a desk that couldn't fit a chair and is more used as a TV stand. Despite the size, they had managed to fit in a bar fridge, ironing board, provided a kettle, air cleaner and hair dryer. The bathroom is basic Japanese which is to say there is a soaking tub, wash let and bidet equipped toilet bowl. Breakfast is basic but adequate with the drinks and soup counter free for all, all day. I did not remember room service but they do not mind you bringing food from other places (i.e supermarkets) and consuming in...
