This izakaya has outstanding seafood dishes. The sashimi platter is super fresh. There is a wide variety of fish, including mackerel, tuna, bonito, silver-striped herring, and striped horse mackerel. The salt-grilled fatty tuna of bonito, called "Katuo Harakawa," has a chewy and delicious texture. The original rice porridge called "Gyohan" is also outstanding. The sweet broth, with dried shiitake mushrooms and sea bream, enhances the flavor, making it impossible to stop eating the rice. This restaurant supports a Kagoshima soccer club, and players come for dinner. You can also enjoy the atmosphere that makes you feel close to...

I had one breakfast and two dinners there during a 2 night stay in Kagoshima. The breakfast is amazing value, and the izakaya menu too. Tasty sea food, sashimi, and agemono, and other items that surpassed my expectations. And the prices / portion sizes are great.

The staff is lovely, from the owner to the waitresses. I thank them all for their warm welcome, and chef Yosaku in particular, who speaks English and helped bridge the gap with my beginner level Japanese.

I had one breakfast and two dinners there during a 2 night stay in Kagoshima. The breakfast is amazing value, and the izakaya menu too.
