Highlights The grilled mackerel set is ¥1300. The mackerel was fatty and delicious. The sashimi was thick and tasty. It came with broth for ochazuke (tea over rice), but the instructions were a bit unclear. Surprisingly, the salad was delicious. Pescatarian would be happy. You can use PayPay. No credit card.

Read moreI had one breakfast and two dinners there during a 2 night stay in Kagoshima. The breakfast is amazing value, and the izakaya menu too. Tasty sea food, sashimi, and agemono, and other items that surpassed my expectations. And the prices / portion sizes are great.
The staff is lovely, from the owner to the waitresses. I thank them all for their warm welcome, and chef Yosaku in particular, who speaks English and helped bridge the gap with my beginner level Japanese.
