Hotel Oriental Express Kagoshima Tenmonkan — Hotel in Kagoshima

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality during my recent stay.

A special thanks to Ms. Nishimura, whose kind assistance in helping me receive medical care made a world of difference. Ms Nishimura speaks fluent English and Thanks to her support, I was able to walk again and enjoy traveling around Kagoshima with my family.

I’m also very grateful to Ms. Ayasaki. As I couldn’t walk the next day, she kindly arranged a larger room when my wife and son came to join me, which was a great help. Additionally, both Ms. Nishimura and Ms. Ayasaki helped me contact the hospital to gather the medical documents I needed for my travel insurance claim.

Although I did not catch the names of all the front desk staff, each one was genuinely kind, informative, and helpful throughout our stay.

The kindness and professionalism of your entire team were truly appreciated. Thanks to all of you, my family and I had a much more comfortable and memorable stay.

We stayed for two nights. Check-in is at 3pm and we were hoping to be able to check in earlier as we have been traveling close to 18 hours 1pm but the hotel charges 1000 yen per hour. So, we decided to just keep the bags with them and went out to Tenmonkan shopping area which was just 5-10 minute walk.||||The room was comfortable but small. With one luggage and a cabin sized bag, sometimes hard to move around the room. We love the spa shower (two thumbs up). Breakfast is served on the 13th floor and you get a gorgeous view of the Sakurajima. There is a convenience store across the street from the hotel and Tenmonkan shopping area is just 5-10...

I visited Kagoshima in early December 2019 and spent the last night of the trip in this hotel. My room was on 12th Floor which is a comparatively large room when compared to those typical rooms. The view is facing the city centre and the Hill which was quite well both at night and during day time. There is a restaurant on 13th Floor with 270 degree view of the city which would be nice for breakfast and dinner. The hot spring is rather congested but it is normal for hotel situated at city centre. The service was very good and facilities like power sockets inside room is more than adequate...
