Cozy hotel with a nice outdoor onsen view of the sky. Its ambient music can be heard in the elevators as well as their hot springs which complement its relaxing setting.
Rooms: no safes. Towels were brought everyday and hung on the front door and soiled towels could be placed there for collection. TV and ethernet connections along with wifi were provided. Very cozy, air conditioner worked perfectly however they did need to be cleaned. Once I notified the front desk a technician was there and finished the job within a few hours; all in the same day.
The laundry rooms are located on the thirteenth floor inside the gender specific hot spring room. There are three dryer/washer combos. All three of them were absolutely filthy and in hindsight I should have notified reception but I had only noticed this after the fact. Sludge could be seen caked to the lint collecting compartment. Despite this, my clothes came out clean and smelled decent after drying. No pictures because no phones/photos are allowed in the onsen room of course.
These two setbacks are why I gave 4 stars.
The cherry on top: free snacks are available on the thirteenth floors in the fridge complementary of the onsen service along with vending machines. Furthermore, free half-ramen service between 9:30 to 11 pm. Complementary...
Read moreLocation was pretty good but the rooms really are dirty and stuffy. And although it's a non-smoking room on a non-smoking level, there's still the smell of cigarette smoke hanging in the air, especially in the toilet. And when we open the window to air the room, more cigarette smoke enter our room and it's consistent! No idea if the smokers were smoking in their room or blowing the smoke out their windows but it was horrendous! Felt suffocated and super annoyed. The lifts too. Always smelled like smoke. And we always bump into smokers going up to the onsen. 🤢 Room wasn't thoroughly cleaned too and the whole place is just old and musty. No bed bugs and I think the cleaning crew tried their best but it's just a really old hotel. Scum on shower head, corners of the toilet floor, black stuff on the shower door, lots of dust on the corners of the room, super dusty windows that I had to clean myself before opening the...
Read moreLoyal supporter of the hotel, but the corridor on the fifth floor is full of cigarette smell, which is the first time I have encountered it. In theory, there should be a dedicated smoking room on each floor. It will be very crowded during the Golden Week, and you can only open the window for ventilation. After shopping, there is a ventilation fan at the elevator door to filter the air, which has improved. Why is there a smell of cigarettes? It is very dangerous, such as a fire hazard. Fortunately, it is 3 nights. The breakfast is very rich and not too crowded. It is 1800 per person. The elevator is marked with a 2000 yen adjustment on June 1. The service staff is kind, the room is clean, and the location...
