Il Birraio — Restaurant in Kamakura

Really torn on this restaurant. First off, the food was great. Pasta, appetizers all very authentic, everything came out in order, and very delicious.

The service leaves more to be desired. No water was offered, neither was spoons for the pasta dishes. Both mains were split without asking. It's weirdly considerate, but we really just wanted to eat our own dishes. Server never smiled and we didn't feel welcomed, maybe it was a long day.

Delicious and authentic tasting Italian seemingly run but just two people. Service takes a while but the flavors are worth it. It seems some imported ingredients are used because it reminded me of the Mediterranean.
