I would give a zero if I could. Here's my justification for my ratings:
[-1 ] VERY DECEIVING. The menu prices on the English part of the menu are different from the Japanese part of the "Today's menu recommendation" ;This is relevant because basically it can say "660 yen" but in the front pasted page it's "800 yen" I think it's like scam-ish.
[-1 ] The food was not worth the price. The frit were small pieces like chicken nuggets. The crab pasta had good flavor, but it didn't have crab meat in it.
[-1 ] I don't mind table charges, but it was not stated. We were seated in an awkward dining set outside, which was understandable because they didn't have seating inside. It was hard to eat. It's still unfortunate that there wasn't even an otoshi with that 500 yen table charge.
[-1 ] We waited 1.5 hours for the food, and each of our food came every 20 mins. We weren't able to eat all together.
[-1 ] Honestly, we were almost really just gonna accept the fact that we paid almost 2万 for mediocre food. But when we asked about why the prices were different, the woman seemed so rude in explaining their "pricing." They didn't even apologize for their poorly designed menu.
For me, just be careful because I think these types of restaurants will take advantage of foreigners not being able to read Japanese. I feel bad putting this review cause the oyster was good, we just...
Read moreNice local spot with fantastic food and when the weather is nice a great view of the Ocean. Kamakura year round is a nice getaway from Tokyo that a lot or people know about, however of you want something with more local flare and way less tourists groups, Ocean Harvest cocomo is a great choice. It is a little expensive for what it is but not overpriced. Salad, soup, fish & chips and 2 beers was less than 4,000 yen. Not terrible but not cheap. Food quality is well above average. The premium is the chill vibe and casual cozy feel. There is a good balance between bar seating and tables so if you’re coming solo or with a few friends Ocean harvest cocomo can accommodate. Fairly easy to find and get to from the Hase train station (about 4min walk) or if you prefer about a 15-20min walk from Kamakura station if you want to avoid the often crowded Enoden Train line. Directly across the street is the ocean and Kamakura beach. They have a great selection of Pastas, Pizza, seafood and salads. The beverage selection is well appointed with a great selection of wines and a good supplement of other soft drinks and beers. I do recommend you give Ocean harvest cocomo a try anytime...
Read moreWe stopped by here after not getting into our first choice restaurant. The view would have probably been great if we came during the day however we came at night and had to sit on the terrace (only 1 small table and 1 medium round table so if you have more than 3 people with you it's difficult to eat). Food was okay - very fresh seafood, portions are okay but not great if you have a big appetite/are very hungry. They do not have a full English menu which is important since they have a 500 yen / person service charge during certain hours that they do not tell you about and is in small font in Japanese only at the front of their menu. For the price of the food, there are better...
