ジブンチ jibunchi — Restaurant in Kanazawa

Went with my partner for an anniversary dinner. This place is probably one of the most special dining experiences I've ever had. Firstly the setting is cosy and just the right lighting. Our server was a young woman who really tied every course together, her knowledge of the food and the suggestions of wine made everything tastier. She smiled and acknowledged me with eye contact despite my not knowing Japanese rather than just speaking with my Partner which was a really nice touch and doesn't often happen.

Had a dry French wine. Amazing, we had a choice of 3 after stating our preferences each unique and equally attractive.

We had 8 courses. All of them with an abundance of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Meat that was hunted by the owner straight to your plate. The bear ragu was our favourite of the evening.
