You can still get great shots of it at night when there’s no traffic and early in the morning before 7. There’s a nice pond in the back area, and multiple entries and exit points. You can enter the shrine grounds from the front, and go through Kanazawa Castle Park grounds to get to Kenrokuen Garden.

This place caught me by surprise on my way to the garden. Was curious so decided to check it out. Was beautiful to walk around in, and happy I did. Great stop along the way to seeing other places and if you are heading to the castle or garden.
