We stranded there asking the way to our guesthouse. Kenji (the son) did everything to help us and at the end he found the right address for us. That night we came back to eat and had the most fabulous night. Father is number 1 cook from Japan and entertaining. The food is ashotonishing good, traditional Japanese. Also vegetarian. Go there when you are in the neighborhood!

Nice Izakaya 居酒屋 in Kabazawa. The seafood dish especially the sashimi 刺し身 and snow crab 香箱カニ🦀。We sat at the counter seats and chatted with other customers. The staff was nice however the services was very slow. The mama-san in charge behind the counter was always saying “ちょうど待て” every time an order is placed as she is struggling to catch up 😂

Trotzdem wurde es ein sehr gemütlicher Abend mit lauter kulinarischen Überraschungen. Der Koch zauberte eine Speise nach der anderen, die Gäste haben gemeinsam für uns bestellt. Am Ende gab es noch ein kleines Präsent und einen herzlichen Abschied. Man erkläre uns, dass dies hier eine Familie ist... und genauso fühlten wir und aufgenommen.
